Today was a pretty eventful day. I had my first tutoring job today. I tutored a chinese brother and sister: a 5th grade girl and a 7th grade boy. I am hoping that I was some sort of help. Although, they are pretty dang smart without any of my help. When I first was helping the 7th grade boy... I couldn't remember how to do any of the math. I was like umm... okay work this problem out, now how did you get that...?? I had to take his book and read to remind myself how to do everything. I think I would have been pretty screwed if it was any higher then pre-algebra. I am a bit rusty. After tutoring I met Jared Dobbins at the Summit. We went to dinner at Chick-Fil-A and got to catch up on what is going on in each of our lives. Then we went to 20something. Tonight, 20something was really good. Pastor Steve spoke on "world changers." We talked about the power of humility, life-changing prayer, and public faith. I just love how animated Pastor Steve is. I am a very visual person... and he always has a way of getting his point across in a very affective way. Here are some good verses and quotes from the sermon tonight:
