Well this week has gotten off to an interesting start...
My birthday was really fun.
On August 4th we went dancing at Two Left Feet until like... 1:30....
then on August 5th..
we went out to an early dinner at Benihanas.. i dont know if anyone in davis has ever been to one, because they're usually in popular larger cities, though i dont think theres one in Sac
well anyways
its japanese food
they cook in front of you
throw their knives in the air, do cool tricks, etc.
afterwards my sister and i drove out to emeryville to go to the Next Generation West Coast Swing dance party.. and whoo, was that tiring
i mean i only stayed till like midnight, but we got there at 8 and ... well dancing for a could hours straight is just pretty tiring
for my birthday.. my dad got me a printer, and gave me my late highschool grad/college present (that each child in my family gets/got when they graduated) a laptop!
my sister got me a book, and started a fund for me to get the new dance shoes i really want ^.^
and my mom got me two private dance lessons at two left feet...which was pretty much my favourite present... i have one monday and one tuesday
she also is getting me a personalized bodhran, which is an irish drum, but i knew about that one for a while...
all in all, good birthday weekend
so yeah...
im down here until like friday or saturday
hoping to hang out with all my old, wonderful friends
and hoping to reunite with my current, magnificent friends at the end of the week!
