And so, yet again, the Axe has fallen.
Got a call from the staffing agency letting me know that my last day would be September 6th.. The day AFTER Rob and I get back from Philadelphia. Ughh.... Well, as long as I don't miss any more time from work between now and then, I'll remain eligible for re-hire when things pick up again in November.
And in other news, as some of you already have heard by now, Rob and Cat were in a car accident yesterday. It was a rear-end collision. They're mostly okay, as is the car, but damn... Fucking scary. I went with Rob to the ER (thanks again to isaiahwordsmith and iriedanym for driving us there and picking us up!!) to have his neck and back looked at, and after sticking him in a cervical collar and asking many questions and taking x-rays and poking around and such, they sent him home with pain pills to make the hurtiness stop. He can actually turn his head a little now, whereas yesterday it caused him enormous agony to do so. Cat didn't get checked out, although we thought perhaps she should have.. I think we're gonna set her up with the chiropractor, however, as soon as we possibly can. It seems the responsible party's insurance will cover medical expenses, car repair costs and car rental fees for while the Taurus is in the shop, so that's naturally a HUGE relief.
