So, I think I might want to take up LJing again. So, here goes nothing. My life in a nutshell right now (which is like....almost 2 years since I last updated). I'm graduating from SIUE next year (knock on wood) with a BS in CJ Studies, I'm no longer working at Target (hallelujah!), I have a new doggie, I'm living in a new room, I've made some really good new friends, I've reconnected with a few old friends, I've fell more out of touch with some old friends, I'm doing a damn decent job at saving money, and....that's about it. Besides the new friends, my social life hasn't changed.
So, here's my current dilemma: Should I take my internship in the spring or in the summer? (The spring means I get done quicker, but really what is 3 more months? And the summer means I get to take it with a teacher I actually really like....and perhaps get to see my crush for a few more months....but we'll get to that.) And....once I figure that out: where the HELL should I do my internship? I was thinking Belleville PD K-9 Unit if I could get it (or some other PD K-9), but I'm not sure that's what I really want to do. I don't want to be a cop. I couldn't hack it as a cop. But, I do want to work with dogs (if there's one thing my current job has taught me, it's that as much as they annoy me sometimes, working with them makes me a happier person). So, if I don't do K-9, should I try for the best federal internship I can find (if I can even find any), or what should I go for? Something more....office-y and me? Or something that I think would be cool to do just because?
Anyway, so another thing I'm pondering right now: paper topics for my organized crime class and my rape and serial murder class. I have absolutely no idea wtf to do for the organized crime class (I really don't have much knowledge on organized crime). Shoot suggestions into the comments.
Alright, I might continue this more later, after I've had a shower and some sleep.
