Spring: Round Two

Apr 11, 2007 19:40

Hello Boys and Girls!

It seems to be round two of Spring. I cannot complain but only hope that things dry up and stay dried up, with sperodic summer showers, so that life can bloom and be sustained! Wait I can complain, I strongly dislike having the bottoms of my too long pants wet and full of dirt! But I will survive!

Easter was fantastic for me. It was interesting as I ended up throwing up at 11pm on Easter SUnday evening but it really didnt make my Easter bad as some might feel. I was blessed with the Easter I had and the church aspect of my Easter was amazing. I dont think I have ever been in church/churches as much as I was this Easter season. I went Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and Sunday was a double whammy, or well a triple, we went to the sunrise, then the breakfast and then of course the Sunday morning service. But it was amazing. And all the youth were fantastic on Good Friday. It was amazing, I wish I could have been in the audience watching and not involved! Oh and shouts to Kurtis, thanks for your guitar skills!

Beyond that the biggest new thing is I am reading the Baghavad Gita, and have become interested in the teachings of western religions, and more the concept of yoga. For me spirituality is a huge thing, as I fully believe there is something greater than all of us, but I am not sure all the time that it is the Christian God, and what I believe that is or if it is a specific God at all, it is just God and the Baghavad Gita has introduced new thoughts for me. As well Chris is adding more angles to it. The whole concept of giving up the material world and material possessions to become a better more whole and balanced person. Chris' thoughts come from the way of communal life and then the Baghavad Gita puts thoughts of attaining a high level of spirituality. I think perhaps one day I will exerience this shedding. I wish I was strong enough to do it, but I cannot just imagine giving up the things I believe I would have to give up. Its giving up a whole way of life. Interesting and I have written very little of my thoughts so I cannot begin to form the full impressions here on livejournal!

Done high school in three months cannot wait to do cartwheels (better get practising) and giving a shout of joy! I would love to ride a bike to grad, if anyone wants to join me and has any ideas of how to do so with a dress, please enlighten me! Much peace, Kelsie
