"produce a list of 10 words beginning with that letter, write something about each of them, and post the list in your journal."
Soo, It looks like Lynne gave me "H."
Hooper My last name. Yup. According to some last-name origin site, a Hooper is an Occupational name for someone who fitted wooden or metal hoops on wooden casks and barrels. Wow. I didn't expect that.
H'okay A heavily accented word that is used very often in my family, and in my close group of friends. Referring to "So, here we have the earth... A sweet earth you might say. It is Round...etc. Etc.Etc." And if you still have no idea what I'm talking about, it's the end of the world.
Harley The name of a horse I used to ride every day. Both English and Western. Harley was one of the tallest horses I've ever ridden, about sixteen hands tall. (If you know horses, that's pretty tall.) I miss harley :(
Hocus-Pocus (By focus) A crazy Rock song my dad showed me last week, involving much yodeling. But it's too catchy to pass up, listen to it.
Hugs Everybody likes hugs. They make you feel special. Go, hug someone right now. I dare you.
Hot Hot Heat A catchy fun band. You've probably heard their songs "Goodnight, Goodnight" and/or "Middle of Nowhere" They are good for Blast-out-of-the-pool-speakers-summertime-type-music.
Here comes the sun One of my favorite Beatles songs. It's so pretty and catchy and great. Listen to it in a long car ride, and be happy.
Hair One of my least favorite things. My hair never does what I want it, and it's annoying. But at the same time, I'm not the least bit bald, which is great.
Halitosis Very bad breath. Ever seen the comic "Zits"? The kid has posters all over his room for the band "Halitosis." I think it's cute. Plus I like saying that word. Halitosis. Whee.
Henrietta The name of my mom's favorite chicken. We have two. Henrietta and Lacey. They walk around our yard and bug the neighbors and we love them oh-so-much. Our ducks used to chase them around all the time, but our ducks were eaten by a raccoon last summer (RIP Frank and Louise!) And our chickens now live in peace.
So, that was fun...
