catch my disease

I've gotta stop being in such a splendid mood today. But I can't help it! All of January was pretty much a blues slew of being sick, insomnia-y, broke, unable to use our bathroom for about a week, and being freezing cold. Finally it feels like Spring is on its way! The sun is shining amazingly bright, I woke up at 9 with a great night's sleep, I've got some Tom Petty playing and a great cup of coffee. Plus I went to the library and checked out a bunch of books for school! Even though I haven't actually begun reading any of these books, it still feels like I've done something productive. :)

It's funny how the smallest things can make your whole mood lift. Like my grades. I still find myself smiling just because I did so well. I hope everyone's proud.

Also - Grandma and Grandpa K should be especially proud - my room is so CLEAN! There is literally nothing on the floor that shouldn't be there, except my backpack and American history book. Yea, truly this be a miracle from on high.

This job I got is pretty spectacular. I can tell you I work for an information centre, but I can't tell you much more than that - other than I work the easiest shortest shifts of any job ever, and that I get paid 10 pounds an hour which is the American equivalent of $18.

I've still got a big to-do list but I'm slowly getting things done, one at a time. I can really feel the weight lifting off my shoulders. Figuratively and literally - I've inadvertently gone down at least one size since I've been here. Rad!

(And, of course, there is a boy.)

This is Sarah, Kim, and myself on my birthday!!! (Somehow we all ended up in rock t-shirts - yes!)
