Hey Kelly
I read your comment on music and reflections. Kelly I enjoyed reading your comment considering music is a topic that many individuals thoroughly enjoy. For me, the different styles of music influence my emotions in different ways, music like you said certainly affect’s ones mood. I know that listening to Imogen Heap “Hide and Seek” brings a new dimension to my mood. It is an unusual piece of music but I like its creativity, its sound. Sound is one of the main components of music, it’s the sound of the music being played that triggers one’s attitude, thoughts and outlook. Much of the lyrics that artists compose contain poems and literal techniques, therefore music derives from literature.

I like to hear more good job.

I know exactly what you mean about music opening up your thoughts and feelings.

Lyrics are always the most beautifully constructed words, employing many audibly attractive techniques such as rhyme, rhythm and repetition. When this is combined with the different aspects of music, including rhythm and beat, and also with different combinations of instruments, it creates the most easily understood form of literature (in my mind, anyway).

Maybe it is the universal sentiments expressed in most songs that helps us to open up and associate with each one? I think music has a great propensity to create empathy with the listener.

I feel like your post has opened the door for me to post more about the music I listen to, which is something i was anxious about.
Thanks :)
