That sounds like an unusual Dr., though I myself have an unusual Dr. of the "so why are you HERE?" fame. I dont know I'd handle it as well as you if a Dr. started pinting out my 'faults' and wanting to remedy them. I can only imagine he is either aiming for mo' money or asthetic perfection - what do you think?

I think this Dr is aiming for both, money and aesthetic perfection. I can't discount the possibility that he thought he was doing my self esteem a favour by making me feel more confident about my appearance (in the long run, that is), even though you are probably with me in believing that a simplistic approach. I didn't feel like he was putting me down or dissing me. He was sharing his insight and opinions in a matey way and calling me Kel, even though he couldn't remember ever seeing me before...
