If I Had to Say - a link to my own poem

Oct 14, 2016 19:18

This week, I was lucky to have my poem, "If I Had to Say", posted by Silver Birch Press on their website. It's a poem I wrote several years ago, while in the midst of a divorce.

Thanks for sharing your poem -- so often we can't see unless looking back. And writing poems helps us to discover things, doesn't it? Congratulations on the publication of this one, which I am certain many can relate to.

That is so exciting, congrats!

I had an If I poem published by SBP, too. The link is here: https://friendlyfairytales.com/2016/10/02/if-i-remembered-my-dreams-poem-by-brenda-davis-harsham-if-i-poetry-and-prose-series/

I will follow your link and read your If I.

I really liked your poem - the conclusion was magical. And I loved this bit:
I’d speak Spanish,
know the names of
all the stars,
and birds would take
seeds right from my hands.
