At the Boardwalk in Kingston, Mass.

And yes, I know there isn't actually a boardwalk there. But my wonderful Aunt Betty, who runs a small daycare center out of her home, took her brood to her local library on Tuesday where she read my picture book, AT THE BOARDWALK, to a rather large group of preschoolers, including the handful that she brought along. She sang songs, showed them a photo of me and talked about me, then read the book.

Here's a photo of Aunt Betty flashing the book.

Check out the beach chair and shades!

And here's the note she sent me afterwards:

Hi Kell,
It was a lot of fun! There were about 18-20 excited preschoolers. We sang our songs & they quieted right down for the story. I think that they loved the book...could tell they were really really looking at the pictures

Before I read I showed them your picture & told them they or their Moms & Dads could be writers someday if they wanted. A couple of the Moms were very interested in how it all came about for you.

So, thank you for providing the children of Kingston with a fun morning at the library.

Hope you are doing well.

Love,
Aunt Betty

Isn't she terrific?
