Song writing research

I spent some time over the weekend listening to the lyrics of 23 songs by the Plain White T's. See, they are one of the few bands I'm aware of who write a lot of happy love songs (as opposed to the disappointed love songs or lost love songs that are rather prevalent with some other bands). Yep. The only folks I know who write a bunch of them are the Plain White T's and Taylor Swift - both of which are in heavy rotation on my playlist for this WIP.

Let me guess: 1,2,3,4 and Rhythm of Love? (I happen to adore one called Let Me Take You There, though it wasn't one of their big hits.)

Yep! I love the video for "1,2,3,4" too- it used to come on while I was having breakfast a lot.

The Walter Mitty's standard banter line is: "We have songs of love lost and love found, trains and lots of songs of drinking!"

Most bands do not have happy love songs. The only artists I've found who seem to have several are the Plain White T's and Taylor Swift. At least so far.
