What a day!

Yesterday was a banner sort of day. Not that I, y'know, have a banner for it, but still . . .

So many happy things happened that I feel a list coming on:

1. S found a prom dress. Yes, in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She tried it on in black, even though she doesn't usually like black, and then we ordered it in white. The dress we ordered is

I'm in (almost) full-on Mom mode just now. I am, however, enjoying a few Lisa Kleypas novels whilst here.

Such nice things! Even with my daughter as a freshmen I was holding out a silly hope that she'd be invited to go to prom because I can't WAIT to help her pick out a dress. Some of that enthusiasm may be because we live near a Ross store and they have tons of great party dresses for great prices.

The whole prom thing is more of a headache than I ever expected it to be, to be honest.
