Cowboy Camp by Tammi Sauer, illus. by Mike Reed
I read this one the other day. Tammi and I hang out at the same message board, http://www.verlakay.com/boards/index.php , from time to time. The book tells the story of a misfit kid who seems destined to fail at being a cowboy, but manages to outwit a bad cowboy in the end. Very cute, and the illustrations are terrific.
