Moving on
No, I'm not moving on from the Jane project (my WIP - a biography of Austen in verse using period forms, for which I now have 145 poems completed - go me!). I am, however, moving on from my position as Regional Coordinator for the Eastern PA region of the Jane Austen Society of North America. I greet the upcoming end of my two-year term with a mixture of feelings - sorry that I'm not moving on for a second term, because I like to feel wanted (who doesn't?), but greatly relieved that it will be someone else's job to stay on top of things. Especially after last year, which as many of you know involved cancer for hubby (so far, still clear - he has another scan on Tuesday, so fingers crossed), a week in the hospital with MRSA for me, a heart attack for my dad and multiple sprains and fractures for my kids.
It will be nice to be "just a member" again. And seeing as I'm a life member of JASNA, I have a lot of years to be a member (I hope!).
