2009 Winter Blog Blast Tour, Day Four

Today's stops on the WBBT are as follows:

Illustrator Jim DiBartolo at Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast in another of the gobsmackingly gorgeous posts we've all come to expect from Jules and Eisha. This one is chock full of Jim's original art, including a few of his co-productions with his lovely and talented wife, Laini Taylor, who is interviewed by Kerry at Shelf Elf today (see below): Art from National Book Award finalist, Lips Touch: Three Times and their adorable baby girl, Clementine Pie.

Christopher Golden (writing as Thomas Randall) has been interviewed again at Bildungsroman, where he talks about developing a series of novels.

Illustrator and graphic novelist Michael Hague at Fuse #8, where the usually composed Betsy Bird is discomposed enough to become a fangirl. If you're an author or illustrator who is feeling disheartened from receiving rejections, read this interview. I pretty much guarantee that none of your rejecting editors or agents has suggested that you consider driving a truck instead.

Amanda Marrone was interviewed right here at Writing and Ruminating, where her discussion of her novels shows that ideas can come from anywhere, including a visit to a theme park. It's long, but I sure hope you'll take the time to read it.

Sy Montgomery is again at Chasing Ray with the second part of her interview, with a focus on her bestselling memoir, The Good Good Pig, and some discussion of her forthcoming Scientist in the Field book, Kakapo Rescue: Saving the World's Strangest Parrot, which discusses a species of parrot on the brink of extinction.

Laini Taylor at Shelf Elf, talking about her Dreamdark novels as well as her collection (two short stories and a novella), entitled Lips Touch: Three Times, which was a National Book Award finalist this year.
