Dear Universe:
I know that Cindy Lord mentioned gnomes
in her blog post the other day. And that there was just mention of garden gnomes in a TV show I saw over the weekend. I know it means that it's getting to be time to pull out the second garden gnome manuscript for its first set of revisions. I do.
Which is why, dear Universe, you really didn't have to send me additional messages, yet you did. The 10-foot tall totem pole consisting mostly of one ginormous garden gnome was impossible to ignore.
But I am trying to finish the first draft of the Northanger Abbey poem for the Jane project first - and Catherine and Henry aren't even at the abbey yet. (They are, however, in a curricle en route to the abbey, so I am - at last!- out of Bath.)
Can I get a reprieve? Just for a day or so?
