Ski Trip...

Jan 10, 2005 00:58

So I boarded the plane to Denver 8 minutes before the plane departed because my brother didn't think it would take that long to get there and didn't want to leave earlier. So it ends up that one of my pieces of luggage gets put onto another flight. I don't get it until 7 the next morning. Nice way to start the trip, on such a good note.

Breckenridge:

The night we got in, we ate crepes for dinner. My piggy self got two. Muahaha. An asparagus and cheddar one and a butter and sugar one with caramel. Then the next day was the first day snowboarding. I put on A LOT of layers so Eileen's mom called me a snowball. haha.

Most of us went snowboarding. Left to right: Becky, Eileen, me, Kelvin

That night we had a crockpot dinner. The next night we went ice-skating for FREE! WAHOO! Richard, Patty, Becky, and me. All the girls brought our own skates.

Stupid Eileen wouldn't go though.

Self timer while I was folding up my clothes.

Big Teddy Bear in front of chocolate store on Main Street in town.I only ended up buying a shirt that had a green circle and "I SUCK" on it. A green circle is the easiest level.

I'm going to miss Teddy Bear because he's a working man now.

Second day of skiing. NEVER let Eileen ride on the right side of the ski lift. She will hold onto and pull you down with her or knock you down another way.

Skiing is so much easier than snowboarding. I was spending more time standing up than laying on the ground. What's it called when you fall on your face? Scorpion? I gave up after falling and hitting the back of my head hard. I started sliding down on my board like a sled until a ski instructor on A Lift told me to stand on my board and kept looking back to make sure I was listening. And I wasn't coming back sore anymore. I could move my body around easier. Our only snowman. It's picking it's nose. Took forever to build. I even tried digging a ball out of a big pile of snow with a shovel. No hope. As you can see, the bottom wasn't even a ball. haha.

Eileen's boss took us out to eat at the Breckenridge Brewery. So full. Omigosh! So many appetizers. Can you believe it? I only ate half of my burger and barely any of my fries.

In front of the condo. My o my. What a workout it was getting up the 5 flights of stairs with a snowboard or ski boots on. Even with all the exercise, I didn't lose any weight because I ate and snacked so much. Pringles, Trail Mix, omelettes, ice cream, etc. OY! 2/3 of the Gang: Mr. Lu (Eileen's boss), Justin (Eileen's boss' son), Kelvin (Eileen's boss' son), Mrs. Lu (Eileen's boss' wife), Mrs. Wang (Eileen's mom), me, Mr. Wang (Eileen's dad), Eileen, Richard (Eileen's brother)
