Sweet success!
My dichotomous key is finished!!! Granted, it's kinda shoddy because I had NO idea what I was doing, but it's finished in time for tomorrow morning, when I head into open lab for my Mammalogy class to get tutored for the exam next week. Yes, it's a Saturday, but I really need this help, unfortunately enough. I just hope my key works well enough to identify random creatures . . .but we'll see.
In other news, study abroad stuff is nearly over and I think I might have a good chance at getting into the exchange program. See, there are only eight spots to go to Australia in this program and about two hundred students are applying for it. But, I have some advantages: a) I have a 3.54 GPA, b) I have senior standing, c) the professor that filled out the recommendation form went all out and wrote an entire letter for me too! d) I'm a pretty good essay writer. So, I think I have a good chance of being accepted (crosses fingers).
Let's see, other than that, life remains pretty normal for me. I've decided to get my rear in gear in school because, well, I'm not doing so hot. Found out that I got a C on my Biochem test . . . I'm hoping that I did a good job on my Oceanography test because if I didn't, I think I'll just go into study hyperdrive, and that's no fun. :) Well, tomorrow I'm going on a second date with a guy from Sig Ep. We went out last weekend and had a good time, and this week one of his friends is holding a formal "cocktail party" and he needed a date. It should be fun, the Sig Ep guys are all very nice boys. They have to take edicate classes as pledges. :) Or so he told me. Then next week I'm going out to an open mike night with a guy from Theta Chi, which should be interesting because, well, I'm not exactly sure what an open mike night is. Eh, I'll figure it out when I get there I guess. But yeah. Now that my key is done, my weekend is looking up!! Well, at least until I go to open lab tomorrow and find out that I did it all wrong . . . oh well. I'll think about that tomorrow, because tomorrow is another day.
