Here we go again on our own...

I have a lot of catching up to do. We've had sporadic internet access mixed with too little time to write with all the fun stuff we're doing. Don't you worry, I'm keeping track in my actual journal, and maybe while I wind my way out of jetlag, I'll re-copy the entries onto computer. It'll be awesome, because there'll be pictures and video. Yay!

Let me just say: not much is more attractive than seeing someone really in their element. I get the complete picture now. This has been a great honeymoon so far, and we leave for the rainforest in Cairns tomorrow! I love this!

In any case, here are some highlights:

Visited Little Island and saw the Little Blue/Fairy Blue/Little Penguins

Saw dolphins in a big way

Saw Aussie Fur Seals (no, there is no figurative meaning to that...)

Got mussels straight from a harvesting station in the bay and ate them right on the dolphin boat cooked by the captain. Good recipe: sweet chili sauce (note to self: find in the US), wine, lemon juice, salt and pepper. The mussels were grain fed, as they live under a grain terminal in the bay. Bweahahaha!

Went down to Letham's family weekend farm in Margaret River Wine Country: rode horses, fed chickens, saw various Aussie wildlife including kangaroos, had wine and picnic lunch, rode bikes, started bonfires, gave in-laws first toasted marshmallows ever.

Back in Perth, we had our last wedding reception. It was awesome. Great food, tons of booze, no dancing this time, but lots of fun. Leth's family and friends rock!

Left for Sydney a few days ago. We: toured the Opera House backstage and onstage and everywhere (all-access baby!), went to Taronga Zoo (elephant porn. We have the video...most awesome bird show ever. It was totally cool...), dinner at our fancy hotel restaurant, shopping, buying awesome stuff, climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge at night, great Italian restaurant dinner after that, laid out at Bondi Beach in my new bikini, ate fish and chips and calamari (they are bigger than your fist here) with to-mah-to sauce, sweet chilis and tartare sauce (Leth was in heaven), went out to fancy dinner at Quay, and that brings us to this morning. We've been doing a lot of walking and using the hotel at our gym to make up for all the quality food time we've had. :) Plus, it's nice to work out the excess energy. Today we're headed over to Manly Island to go to swim with the sharks. I promise to update when we get back so that you know we weren't eaten. :)

Hope all is well there. Here are some pictures to titillate you until we get some more posted (under the cut...)

Us in the back of the ute (short for utility vehicle) on the farm.

My new friend, Will. The Burns family's youngest horse.

Candlelight dinner for 4 on the farm. Yay!

It is wine tiem now plz?

A guy on his farm with his wife. He's so very happy.... :)

It is our honeymoon (so say I), so you're gonna have to just suck it up and thank the good lords I put it under a cut...

:) Talk to you more later...
