I hope everyone had a really happy holiday. Leth is on the phone with Australia and we're recovering from the festivities of last week....We had an amazing holiday dinner, and a really amazing and fulfilling week. In terms of the meal, I can't do too much with savory meals in the kitchen, as I am more of a baker, like my Grandpa Hauser, but I really managed to pull my finger out (I'm not even talking about Alex!) and create a nice dinner and dessert. Mmmm. Roast ribeye with cheesy twice baked potatoes and a caramel tart (the recipe for which I got out of Bon Appetit, and which turned out realllllllly wonderful, and it looked just like the picture in the magazine!)
In any case, I have had the week off, and have gotten an appropriate amount done. On Saturday we un-Christmas-ed the house and took back some gifts and made a trip to the storage unit to put everything back.
Letham loved the tree.
He will miss it. :) Nice butt, honey.
Tonight we are going out in Hoboken to Goat's and we're bringing some yummy cheese and crackers and some booze. It should be good. Hopefully Letham will have recovered by then and will have been completely through his mourning for the tree.
Happy New Year to all and hope 2007 brings you everything you've dreamed!
****EDIT**** I fixed the picture and restored it to its natural glory!
