Hehe!
So, for those of you who don't know, I absolutely love Home on the Strange, a web comic by theferrett and roniliquidity. I look at a couple other online comics periodically, but I read HotS religiously and make an effort to see it every day.
Lately, a long and dramatic storyline that ran in HotS was that the greasy-suave dungeon master Seth was trying to seduce a girl named Izzy who has heretofore completely resisted every one of Seth's efforts and basically thinks he's, well, a greasy perverted slimeball.
During this convoluted storyline, Izzy goes to Seth's house to discuss the roleplaying game he's running, and is treated to a fine formal dinner with Seth, during which Izzy expresses her opinion of Seth, and Seth decides to break out the big guns to sway Izzy's feelings for him.
He leads her down a secret passage in his house to the "bat cave". Yes, Seth has a secret lair under his house. And, he confesses, he has not one but SEVEN superhero costumes all tailored and created especially for him. To show her what he means, he quickly dons one of the costumes and becomes, "The Evening Smoker!"
theferrett has challeged us, his adoring fans, to create and draw Seth's remaining 6 costumes. The best of these drawings ("The one that amuses Roni and I the most") will win a piece of Roni's original art from the first year of HotS or something.
After much deliberation, I decided to enter the contest. Here are the entries so far, including mine:
