Back in the home environs
Back from a road trip to Atlanta for a neice's high school graduation. I'm not entirely certain how it's possible that both of my flower girls are now high school graduates, but I've witnessed both ceremonies and it indeed seems to be the case. Time flies and all that.
The trip was fairly uneventful with the exception of Ken's missing wallet (couldn't find it before he left the house) and some blisters from my new shoes. I was sans laptop so I didn't get much writing or web surfing done, but that made the time away more relaxing. I ate too much and lounged by a pool and wore a new dress and enjoyed life in general.
I find long drives to be quite Zen: the drone of the road slipping underneath the tires lends itself to contemplation. Perhaps I should take them more often.
