Trading my fairy wings and butterfly antennae for Pizza-Box Birthday Cake
...with candles lit by imagination, for me to blow out after 'happy birthday'.
I adore: My step-cousin's daughter, Zoe, and son, Lachie. She twirls, in well-loved and well-worn, pink skirts and lacey boots. She bakes me imaginary cakes and sticks stickers on her hands. She draws me over-simplified depictions of our world, that ignite complexity like imaginary flame. She has shoes that glow when she walks the ground, and her hair is so soft, golden, and long.
He kicks a football with pizzazz and knows how to cling off of his older cousins and tackle them to the ground. He has a smile that gleans mischief and he knows how to quietly stalk when nobody's watching, and patiently wait for opportune moments. On the toilet calendar of family he rarely sees, he marks down the birthday of his younger sister in well-rounded cursive and proper use of abbreviation marks. I *high five!!*, *tickle!!*, and *noogie!* their little monster heads! And most of all: I *make believe* for them both. <3
I deem her: worthy of my pretties. and one of the best hugs.
I deem him: likely to be a right little hottie that will make the girls go wiiiiiild the day he pretends to shut his bedroom's window.
Review: Shrek The Third. Laugh-out-loud and too cute to tire even the socially anxious. This is my review today. You like?
Here's to...
-introductions that are flatteringly false and over praised.
-repeating 'awesome' far too many times in one afternoon, and raising the eyebrows of older cousins in curiousity and awe. Like, awesome, totally! Give me five!!!
-my too forgiving younger sister, and for tomorrow to be a new day <3
-having $200 worth of help in acquiring my shiny new 8GB iPod Nano, and it's sexy black slinkiness.
-somehow already dinting aforementioned Nano.... >.<
-trying very hard today, I'm satisfied with the intentions and continuance of my rationality (in two senses of the word), right up until the sun dipped down. The conscious thought was there...
-finishing a difinitive list of things-to-pack and things-to-do at 3am in the morning.
-writing all about it in Myspazz at 4am in the morning.
Eagerly awaiting.... the 15th of June!!
21 and finally indpendant. I'd sneeze if it were catching....
Love, love, hugs, more to come,
Kelly-Rae ***
