ok people, the 80s sucked. Probably the worst decade for pop-culture ever. What kind of a decade diefies people like Gary Glitter? There are many reasons the eighties sucked, but since I am lazy, i shall just name the highpoints:
For the love of money: ruined a classic(the hustler, no it aint a porno), and made tom cruise a star. i hate tom cruise.
Ah-Ha: crappy swedish band. There song is light and airy. what your head needs to be to like thier music.
Michael Bolton: I know we were all introduced to michael bolton by Office Space, but actually Download one of his songs. pure, 100$, columbian grade shit.
D'ffrent strokes: why do poeple like this show? i liken it to dinner with hitler, or screwdrivers being poked in my face.
Big-Hair metal bands: wore make-up and acted tough. while wearing spandex. while wearing spandex. i had to say it twice to let it sink in. A bunch of cheap Queen imitators with non of the talent.
Yuppies: I would say these people are the most disgusting thing to ever happen to america. They only cared about image and did copious amounts of cocaine. rent the movie American Psycho and see what i mean. terrible, awful people.
WHAM!: george michael. who didnt know he was gay?? only the very dumb or old. The Liberace of the 80s. only, yet again, sans the talent.
thats all for now, and i know im going to get alot of people bitching at me about how cool the eighties were. Just because your favourite punk band does a cover of "couldnt get away" right now dosent excuse the fact that David Hasselhoff was considered cool in that decade. get over it, they sucked.
