contrast

Without a frame of reference, without contrast, without knowing the "other" then there is nothing. White contrasts with black, up with down, life with death, and suffering with joy. God needs us as much as we need God. Without not-God there is no God. That leads to a hugely damaging moral implication to organized religion. Namely that the supposed creations of God must by definition be vital to God's existence.

It's a logical fallacy for monotheistic and ancient religions.

To the atheist the same conundrum presents itself not in spirituality or morality terms, but in terms of actual existence.

We actually exist, therefore what is vital to us is non-existence. To be clear, that which does not exist is as real and important as that which does. Without the non-existence there can be no existence. Where the atheist ultimately stumbles is in the endless abstraction of the unknowable as if that removes God from the frame.

Your hard science points to this exact thing. The unknowable and the non-existent are our siblings, not our masters, not our creators, and not our origins.

We are all together. One, abstracted into being and not being, all from infinite self reflection.

Evolution returns us to Godhood. Existence returns us to the void. We go nowhere, we are all one thing. To know this is to know the way to enlightenment. Words, ideas and thoughts can point the way, but you must journey there by other means.

God looks up to and worships us. I give my love and forgiveness to God when I love and forgive myself.

Namaste.
