Sooo yesterday was a little wack. started off with a trip to Kensington so Marianna could drop off some stuff, getting tickets at rotate and spending just a little too much time with girl gone crazy at HB.
After that we went back over to Uprising for the Art Party, spent some time drawing and then headed over to see Jason Collett at the Mod Club. It was quite possibly the scariest ID check I've been through, but thankfully we got in and quickly found Mackeda, Jeff and Tahra. It was awesome to see them all, especially Mackeda (since it was her birthday and I hadn't seen her since AoH in February). The wait was waay too long, and the opening band wasn't my cup of tea. I wish I had taken a picture of Jason Collett watching from the side for the first few minutes, with a total "What the fuck....?" expression on his face. We all had a good laugh about that. Jason Collett finally came on at 11-something (with Andrew Whiteman!), but by then the lights and weather had gotten to me. I enjoyed the first half of his set, which luckily included most of my favourite songs (including We All Lose One Another which was crossed out on the set list) but after that I really couldn't take it anymore. The weather was giving me a migraine, and that added to be ing under the path of the hot lights was too much. Thankfully by then Marianna was also kind of ready to go, so we treked over to Bloor and Bathurst and headed home. All in all a good day, migraines aside.
We also managed to get a few decent shots.
Andy was kind of hiding at the back, so it was hard to get a decent shot of him.
Today so far has been devoted to re-claiming my iPod, which I've finally done and gotten everything uploaded onto it and whatnot, so I'm happy. Todays plans seem to be Hell House and Not A Party. Have I mentioned how much I'm loving this end of midterms thing? Because it is really fucking awesome.
