(no subject)
its been so long that i feel like i should be making some epic post about my whereabouts and my havedones... but i doubt it'll end up like that. right now i'm sitting with my grandpa in the cozy living room of their little house. he's comfortably watching tennis on tv and my grandma's off reading the paper somewhere. to keep myself busy i've been exploring the house and snapping pictures of all the weird and amazing old stuff they've got. this has pretty much been my life for the past however many days since joey left. i got my grandma hooked on america's next top model and we watched a pretty long marathon last night and then watched the dog show. i carefully knit myself a hat, without really looking at what i was doing... mostly because i wanted to watch the tv but also partially because i wanted to see if i could do it. before all of this, joey and i spent a week in san francisco. we spent most of the time walking around aimlessly til we found something interesting, or finding yummy places to eat. we also found a lot of parks and climbed a lot of trees. the hotel we stayed at for a few nights had excessive amounts of gold everywhere. it was in a nice spot except for all the homeless dudes outside which joey reffered to as "the land of the dead". we found a pirate store and the best vegan restaurant all in one day. san francisco's got a lot going for it, its pretty much an amazing place! tomorrow i'm taking the coast starlight train to ojai in southern california to visit devin. its a 9 hour train ride along the pacific and i hope i dont go crazy. grandma and i took a trip to the yarn store yesterday and i hope i've got enough to keep me busy, plus i have two books! after a week down there i've gotta take the train back up here and then i'll fly to santa fe and eat great food and watch great sunsets and see great people and hike in some big mountains!
