I just got home from work, and I'm so excited I need to tell somebody my news, and that somebody is LJ, because it's too early to call anybody else. I had my second interview with the nurse managers on Tuesday, including Lynn from my floor. I love my job, I love my floor, I love my co-workers, so I really want to work on Ortho. On my way out this morning, I saw Lynn, so I walked up to her and said "pick me! pick me! hehe" and she smiled and winked and said, "don't worry, Kel, you're name is on that list of nurses I want up here." FINALLY, it's about damn time. Who would have ever thought I would love orthopedics? This experience has proved to me to give anything and everything a chance because you never know how it will turn out and where it will bring you.
I'm elated, knowing that I moved here with no job, no apartment, and only one friend, who lets face it, she's a busy busy film student who I hardly ever see. Savannah has embraced me and I feel incredibly powerful knowing that I made this life that I love so much out of nothing, and that I am perfectly capable of creating an extraordinary life for myself anywhere that I want to go. That is the best feeling, and I am so happy.
