So i went to a dollar theater this afternoon to watch V for Vendetta.
It was based on a comic, which i read quite some time ago. I remember that there was a lot of talk about how the writer didn't like the adaptation for some reason or another.
Granted, I haven't read the book in quite some time. I can still say that I liked the movie. It stayed true to many of the main ideas in the book, but there were more than a couple things that didn't come from the original story.
I liked it. It was an enjoyable movie, though i hadn't picked the best venue for viewing.
I dunno what it is about dollar theaters, but they just make me wish i gown up like i did for contact precaution patients in Oakland. It just feels gross.
The smell, the sights...ugh. i'm not heading back to one of those theaters again. Just plain gross.
I also wish that parents would consider a movies rating before brings small children in with them. The poor kid in front of me was screaming after the first 10 minutes cause he was scared. Couldn't have been more than 4 years old. Taking him to a Rated R movie was probably a bit extreme.
Tomorrow, I may re-read the book (just to see what differences there are)
