Update
It's been a while, dear LJ.
Things have been good I must say; no complaints. Work's manageable, been good with A, dad and mom's doing alright, DB should be ready by end 2017 or early 2018. Comforts like these are really more than enough to be thankful for.
Guitar is regretfully on hold at the moment due to a lack of practice time. Badminton's still ongoing with the 2 groups. It's still a lot of fun though I can't say I've improved much haha.
Some friendships have taken a turn. I find myself sticking to a selected handful whom I've grown closer to and connect much better with. As for those whom I used to hang out with, I've grown distant from most. Contrary to what some would argue (that it's due to my relationship status), it's really simply because I found the friendships stagnant. I see little purpose in meeting them on occasions like birthdays then not seeing them the rest of the time. Perhaps I've lost interest in friendships without depth. Of course, it also boils down to the fact that our outlook and priorities differ.
But nonetheless there are a few whom I still contact and see from time to time.
I'm also much quieter on social media (not that I was ever active). Facebook has become somewhat of a channel that I turn to for news and information, whereas Instagram is where I spy on people's photos. I do sometimes wish people would use more creativity in what they post, aside from the endless food pictures, gym shots depicting a chest/leg-day, self-admiring selfies, and uncalled-for 'live' video feeds.
Then again people are free to post whatever they wish. I on other hand, am free to decide how much I like their posts hahaha.
