There are 2 things that I honestly have read quite enough of.
Pokemon, and Joseph Schooling.
The former is a mobile game gone viral and has half the population infected. And all that endless postings on social media has me swearing to stay off it.
Joseph Schooling is our home-grown hero who is the first Singaporean in history to win an Olympic Gold Medal. Kudos to him for doing himself and the country proud. The only thing that bothers me is how the media is in a Schooling-frenzy; how everyone wants to be (albeit remotely) affiliated to him. The excessive media coverage of him is just a little tough on my nerves. The boy deserves all the glory he is receiving; I just hope it doesn't make his head swell too much.
