A weekend I miss sometimes
Last weekend was a productive one.
Friday - TGIF! Met TJ for lunch at Raffles City. Gosh I miss the dude, though I had to pacify him for failing to meet him earlier. Fortunately, a meal was enough to win him back haha.
Saturday - I arranged to have breakfast at Killiney with Cindy, a very close colleague turned friend from 2 jobs ago. It's not easy to meet regularly because of our respective schedules but none of the distance could quite make us feel less close to each other. I shared with her what I had been up to, as did herself to me. It's difficult to imagine that 9 years have lapsed since we left the company, but a relief that both of us are well. It's lovely being around her as always.
Then while having breakfast with her, I ran into my former boss cum benefactor - Ben from 3 jobs ago. He is also my personal friend whom I got to know before I got into the job. In fact he was the one who got me the job. So after breakfast I had brunch with him, never mind I was still digesting the toast, eggs, and chee cheong fun from earlier. He and I used to see more of each other before, until our work schedules got in the way. Throw in partners, travel, and others into the equation and geez, little wonder it's hard to meet.
It was then off to the gym.
In the evening I found myself free. Captain America Civil War is a movie I was quite keen to catch, and I thought it would be nice to relive something I used to do in the past - watching a movie alone. But for some reason I was more inclined to stay home to do something mundane... like hanging a painting in place of another few, clearing out a few old letters and statements, washing the toilet, etc. I found all these strangely satisfying haha!
Sunday was to my usual game of badminton with the guys, and a pre-dinner snack with some of them. Then it was back to mom's where we had dinner downstairs, a make-up for mother's day the week before.
I did miss A though.
