so i'm home for break... and of course as soon as i leave school, i have to get sick. haha. i hate being sick, especially during the holidays :0( oh well. end of the semester was... well, let's just say interesting. definitely failed calculus, which pissed me off like nothing else. let's just say a grading discrepancy on my third test (and the fact that i didn't get it back in time to drop the class) is the reason for that. what really makes me mad is that i really did work my butt off for that class. i really can't think of any class i've ever worked harder for. and it doesn't really bother me except that now my in-major gpa is going down the toilet. i don't know what i can do about that... i guess i'll just talk to my advisor when i get back :0\ my other grades were great though, much better than any other semester. so if i had dropped calc, i most likely would've easily made dean's list. ha. and let's just say that despite the calculus drama and those crazy finals, the last week and a half before break was really awesome ;0) i'll just leave it at that for now... so let's see, what have i done since i've been home. went to silver diner on sunday (i think, just a couple hrs after we got home haha) with john and casey... always fun. i figured a milkshake would cure my sore throat haha. hung out with annie and jenni tuesday night... and we definitely almost finished 2 pints of ben and jerry's between the 3 of us hahaha. i love my girls :0) wednesday was my first day back at hidden pond... wasn't too eventful, even though it was nice and warm out. it was really nice to be back there - it's hard when i'm used to being there almost every day during the summer and then not being there for months at a time. then i went to see "closer" with joann, andy, john, and casey. very interesting movie. of course, i had to sit next to john and listen to his comments about seeing natalie portman almost naked. ha. today i took kim and sean last minute christmas shopping for dad... it was crazy. i hate parking enough as it is, but the walmart parking lot 2 days before christmas? let's just say i don't want to do that again anytime soon. i'm way excited about new year's... goin down to blacksburg to spend it with caroline and jenn :0D and you know we're gonna have some fun ;0) my girls are so awesome! well, i should probably go wrap presents or something, seeing as i haven't even started to do that yet. adios!
