This weekend has been rather uneventful. Friday night Meg, Alex (visiting from UW), Alden, and Eryn took a bus adventure out to Gateway mall in springfield to see A Good Year and go to target. Well, first off it was pouring, so that made for a fun walk, second of all, this mall is s-k-e-t-c-h-y. I don't think I have ever felt so out of place anywhere. I have felt more at home in a foreign country. I have always felt more at home in a foreign country. I looked around at all of the families and was so thankful to know that when we all grow up and have families, that will not be our choice family activity every week. We are lucky enough to know that if all goes well, we will be able to take our families on international adventures and be a part of this crazy world. As cliche as it is, I don't think I realized how lucky I was to have that.
Ironically, we saw the film "A Good Year," about a man (a surprisingly charming Russell Crowe) who inherits his uncle's chateau and vineyard in provence and falls in love with a local woman (who is gorgeous, has a killer accent, and perfect hair). Not only was the movie excellent, but it made me want to travel SO BAD. It made me think that it might just be a good idea to use my 6 years of french class and go study abroad there. Now I know that my last international romp was only a few months ago, but I want to go somewhere now! Travel is addicting, I never want to stop.
Now that I have unfortunately been transplanted back into reality, I have to do homework. Luckily, a large part of my homework this week is working on my final film project for my art class. Now I was worried, because I have never worked with film, but I think I might just pull it off. It's like working with photography, but with endless options. So right now I have a feeling that I will stay up until ungodly hours tonight working on it just because. I love that.
In other good news, my ballet teacher told me that next term I should move up to 300 level, yay. And if all goes well with my schedule, I will start class everyday at 11 am. Cross my fingers.
