I have tried not to be too lazy and watch too much television over break, so I have read and done puzzles instead.
Books (4):
"The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown- good book for those of you who haven't read it yet. One of those books you can't quite put down. About a murder in the Louve and how there are clues to the murder in Da Vinci's work.
"Best Sports Writing 2004 edition- collection of 2003's best sports writing
"Five People you Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom - another good book. About an old man, Eddie, thinks he has a mundane and worthless life fixing amusement parks rides . One day he dies and meets 5 people in heaven, all of who, in some way, were affected by Eddie's life. A really quick read.
"Planet of the Umps" by Ken Kaiser- a personal story of Ken Kaiser, MLB ump for over 30 years. The personal stories and annecdotes are fun.
Maybe more to come...
Puzzles (4):
A Beatles one (500 pieces), two scenery puzzles, one of a western farm scene (500 pieces) and one of a white house with a picket fence around it (300 pieces), and one of Saint Andrew's golf course in Scotland, a wonderful golf course I have "played" at (500 pieces). Up next is an 1,000 piece puzzle of American brewries.
I am sure there are lots of stuff I am forgetting, but you will probably hear those stories when I see y'all in a week.
