Sick.. ugh
I'm so tired of being sick and in pain. Last wednesday, meaning the last wednesday of september, I was playing pool at the EMU, and suddenly got a really really bad shooting pain in my stomach. I've been to see my doctor once, spent 7 hours in the ER last friday night/saturday morning, went to see the nurse practitioner at my doctors office once, and went to see a gastroenterologist yesterday. I can't even count how many blood tests they have done on me, but I know I've had 2 ultrasounds and a CT scan. The CT scan showed that I have a little bit of pancreatitis, but so far no blood test or ultrasound has really showed that. I've been told that doesn't really matter though, because the CT scan is more sensitive to things like that and since it showed pancreatitis, I have a little of that. The gastroenterologist I saw was kinda funny. He basically said he has no idea what I have, at this point, but was like "well, lets go with the idea that its pancreatitis. what could have caused it?" so that led to me getting 2 blood tests to check for pancreatitis, and also 1 for mono (which could cause it). Then he was like, "ok, throw that idea out the window. what else could it be?" He gave me Nexium, a treatment for stomach ulcers, to try and see if it would help at all, cuz it hurts when I eat, consistant with both pancreatitis and an ulcer. Which also led to 2 more blood tests. I go back to him on wednesday. I missed all last week of school and work. If I miss much more school, my dad said we may have to discuss our options for the term because its becoming harder and harder for me to catch up. I may have to drop a class or two, if not all. but yeah. I have been taking vicoden for pain and phenergan for nausea since last saturday, and I've been laying on my couch or in bed since then as well. today, I took a bath and washed my hair and stuff, and it made me so tired that I slept for an hour and half, and only woke up because I wanted to watch the duck game and Brent was here. I slept in till noon today too, so I normally shouldn't have been that tired. But most of this past week, I haven't even been able to walk to the bathroom by myself. I've finally stopped throwing up (I've gone since tuesday or wednesday without that) and I can walk to the bathroom by myself. I thought my streak of not vomiting was going to stop today, but it turned out okay. Well, I guess my reading break should be over. Gotta finish reading this Freud book and write my philosophy essay, so I can watch a movie and write an essay on it for english, then read a lot of stuff for english and philosophy for mon/tues, and then do my last business assignment and study for a quiz I have tuesday. The mon/tues stuff is in case I'm able to go to class those days. even just sitting here writing this has tired me out a lot. Part of the reason the gastroenterologist thought mono perhaps.
