So we had a meeting at work today about the whole being bought out thing. Jobs are safe, new owner plans to invest, manager speak blah blah blah. Then they got to the good stuff. To reward us for being loyal employees everyone employed since before December 2006 will get a little gift.
Woo. Thought I blandly. Another crappy bottle of special label whisky to gather dust in my cupboard.
A monetary gift.
Oh! Cool, maybe they'll gives us £20 or something, that'd be nice.
