buttercups

the other day i came upon a revelation...

a few weeks ago me and some of the girls from biology were talking about those buttercup flowers...the little yellow ones that turn your neck yellow if you rub them on there...i know you people remember them!! well we were talking about how we loved them so much when we were little kids, and how you never really see them anymore...like, when we were having that conversation i couldn't remember the last time i saw a buttercup flower...we came to the conclusion that our generation loved to pick them so much when we were kids that we made them go extinct lol and we left the conversation at that...

well the other day when i was watching the kid, i decided to take him for a walk...and as you may know, i don't like kids, so i was trying to find things to amuse myself while we went on this walk...well, i decided to look around because rachel lives in a really pretty foresty area with lots of trees and shrubery and such...well i looked around between some of the trees and i saw patches of buttercups everywhere...the biggest buttercup flowers i've ever seen! they were huge! and i was like oh my gosh, there they are, and it got me thinking...

when we get older we think about all the things we miss from our childhood...we regret losing those things because they represent a time when life was simple, when life had no worries and no fears...we miss those things, whether they be tangible things or feelings, we miss them nonetheless...just like the buttercups...the things is, however, is that i don't think those things are really lost when we get older...i think they just get misplaced through all the turmoil, all the stress, and all the damage that occurs when we grow up...i don't think those things are lost at all...i think they're there all the time, if we would just look hard enough, and look down through the right path of trees in just the right location those memories will come back, we can have all the things that make childhood so wonderful...i think all of us wish we could find a few patches of buttercups...

what im trying to say people: stop for a second and take a look at your life...if you feel something is missing, it's because something is...slow down a little bit, take life day by day, make the words as you get the pieces and stop to look at everything that is happening around you...you just might find all those things you're missing...
