Jogging

Tonight I tried to jog a mile, just to see if I still could.

To clarify, I don't know if you could actually call what I do "jogging". I'm very, very slow. I've never been a runner. As a matter of fact, I can probably count the times I've ran a mile on one hand (maybe two, but you get the point). Even in school, I walked more than anything else. Earlier this year my mom and I were doing a boot camp sort of thing where we had to jog a mile or so each time before getting to the rest of the workout. It came as quite a surprise when I actually jogged the whole mile, for the first time in my life. It wasn't enjoyable, and it never really got easier (only did it about 5-10 times).

But yeah, I decided to try tonight, and I was successful (keep in mind that my expectations were very low). I jogged the full mile, then walked a little on the mile home, but jogged more than walked even then. I'd like to be able to do that more often, maybe work up to longer and faster jogs, but I'm not making any promises (to myself, that is). I wish I had better work out clothes. I wish I didn't have to wear like 5 bras to be able to jog. I wish my nike+ipod thing would work. I wish I could actually get results...

Have I mentioned how much I miss spinning classes?
