Help, Orlando friends!
I have a bit of a dilemma.
Next month both the Blood Brothers and Cursive are coming to Orlando (Firestone) a few days apart. I desperately want to go to both shows, but even if Andrew and I take the bus there, we'd have no way to get home.
Is anyone who might be willing to give us a ride home going to either of these shows?
I intend to ask everyone I know, but I don't know that many people in the area anymore and I don't know if anyone I know even likes either of these bands. I'm terrified of stangers, but I might be willing to go to desperate measures.
One time I wanted to go to a show in Boston and had no one to go with. Ironically enough, the show was Cursive and the Blood Brothers was one of the opening bands. I took the bus into Boston (from the Cape) by myself and met up with a girl I had met maybe the day before online. A very uncharacteristic thing for me to do, but it was a great time. She was adorable, we ate at Buddha's Delight (asian vegan food). The show was amazing, and we crashed at my friend Nicole's place after (she couldn't make it to the show). Then the next day I took the bus home by myself.
Perhaps I'll need to connect with strangers or something (or find money for a cab? That would be expensive...)
PLEASE let me know if anyone reading this is going or can introduce me to someone who is...
Or if you have any ideas about what I should do. I haven't been to a show in WAY too long and I really need to get out more. Making friends wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, either.
