Nothing like Wal-Mart for a fun night out

Have I mentioned how awesome my friend special_kc is?
She came into town for a wedding this weekend, and a few months ago we decided to plan a baby shower for our darling Wedgie (yellomist) since Cayce would be in town. She got into town on Thursday and invited Andrew/Bun (mylivingeulogy) and I to dinner at her sister Ambry's house. She mentioned that there would be sushi, so of course I accepted the invitation. There were also margaritas at the party, which is always a plus (and Ambry is known for making a pretty great margarita). Cayce's other sister was there too, as well as their parents and grandma, a bunch of other folks, and a couple of cute dogs. It was a lovely evening.
The next afternoon, Cayce, her mom and grandma came to pick me up. Then we went to pick up grandpa and to meet Ambry for lunch at Little Saigon. Bobbi and Aron (Cayce's husband) met us there as well. Lunch was yummy (I had tofu and brocoli). Afterwards we dropped grandpa off and went to Target for some baby shower shopping. We got plenty of great stuff. Went back to Cayce's to wrap stuff and hang out, and I somehow got myself invtited to dinner (score!). I felt bad leaving Bun home alone, but I definitely wanted more Cayce time. There were 10 of us in all for the Mom's Bday/Father's Day dinner. The kids had decided to get them both bikes for their Michigan house but didn't buy the actual bikes yet, so Cayce and I drew bikes onto cardboard to give to them at dinner. We went to Enzo's, which I had never heard of. Apparently it's out of my price range. It was a pretty cool place and we got lots of yummy food and drink.
Saturday wasn't too exciting, but Cayce called in the evening and we decided to get together even though our original plans for bowling and fondue didn't work out. We decided to make the best of the evening anyway and spent a couple of hours at Wal-Mart. Why not, right? Cayce bought some stuff for us even thought the only gift we really needed was time with her, so now Bun is the proud owner of a shirt that says "My dad doesn't need directions!". He wore it on Sunday, and apparently no one really thinks it's funny except for me, Cayce and Bun... but that's OK.
Details and pictures from Sunday (baby shower) coming soon. For now, enjoy some pictures of us at Wal-Mart!

Cayce and Bun know how to party

Aren't they cute?

We're shopaholics (not really though)

Here we are perusing the nuts

And this is Cayce holding some meat

Bun is a master photographer =P

Perhaps my favorite picture ever of Cayce
(there was another one that I liked that she didn't want me to put online,
so hopefully she's OK with this one)

He took a bad picture of me and it made me make this face.
