(no subject)
I haven't checked LJ or posted in awhile. Not sure why....maybe facebook and twitter have taken over my life.
Not much new to report. Just got through a busy week at work. We had a lot of catering for my tiny crew and FINALLY made money this week. It's a shame that it took me 3 full months into the year to say that. Pathetic. Anyway, hanging in there at work. I mean, it's not awful but it's really not what I want to do. I find myself becomming more and more of a food service manager and I'm not getting paid for it, so I keep my eyes open for a new job. The best time to look for a new job is when you have one, right? LOL I did just have an interview with ARAMARK Uniform Services for a controller position. I think the interview went well. I already have the financial ARAMARK background, even though uniform services is a little different than business services (my line of business). The next interview would be with regional controller. We'll see. I went into it thinking, eh it's worth a shot and came out of it feeling better. More money and a higher "band". The drive would be a tiny bit farther but if I do move closer to my cousin's, it would actually be a little closer than AB from there.
I'm going to 2 Mackenzie birthday parties this month. The first one I'm tagging along for her friends party. We're going to see Hannah Montana the movie and then they're doing a slumber party. It's still debatable on whether I'm actually going to stay the night, too. LOL The other party is for the family.
Ohhh New Kids have extended their tour and I checked the dates to see if I could go with my cousin Tammy to any of them. They'll be in Indiana on June 27th but I'll be in Florida and they'll be here on July 1st. I will have just barely made it back to St. Louis then and of course, Tammy will be in Copenhagen. Leave it to my cousin to be in Copenhagen when I want her to come see New Kids. Her life *shakes head*. LOL She travels around the world for her job, by the way, she doesn't just go visit these places. So, we'll see. I'd really like to see them with her. I am going with Talayna on July 1st, though. LOL
I went back up to Vernon Hills to see another couple on GH (Spin and Maxie) but the "Maxie" part of the couple didn't show up. But Bradford (Spin) was adorable and he made up for it. Catrina and I had to cut the trip short due to the possible bad weather up in Chicago. We had fun meeting a bunch of new people at dinner last Friday night, so it was all good.
As for my couple? Geez....I don't know...I still don't get it. They're still not together. We were freakin out Thursday because they were in the same room together. LOL Pathetic. These two have amazing chemistry and a son together on the damn show, but we can't even see them try to be a couple. I really want to not watch this show because I'm so pissed about it but I just keep hoping. LOL
I'm going to the game on Tuesday. Hope it's not too cold! I hate going to baseball games in the cold. LOL
