Was there something in the air? Last week was so heavy. It started with terrible horrible no good very bad news in the media, every day. I ranted about our fear of female sexuality, fear of culture that is in any way different from yours, abuse, politics, and I looked forward to the end of the week

Isn't the neck the most tasty, delicious part? I could smell it for hours! It's truly like my drugs.

The world is layered and beautiful and heartbreaking and bittersweet through and through. I'm grateful to be a tiny part of it all. SO GRATEFUL.

I heard this news on Friday, on Facebook of all places. It's pretty shocking, even for someone who knew her only casually. I'm vacillating between incomprehension and feeling really bad for the people she left behind. It's definitely something that makes you want to hug your loved ones close.
