Let me know if it will be helpful to talk about or through any of this stuff with me. I have been there (and am there currently -- Ilan is in a waking and nursing every hour phase this week and that takes me over the edge from when it's every 2 hours, which I find dealable -- although in a different emotional space this time around). So I very much empathize, but perhaps I can tell you what helped us/worked for us/helped me get through it. And you will. YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS, I PROMISE! And your kid will eventually sleep -- probably sooner than you think -- and you will be glad, at the end, of all the sleepless nights now because it is work well spent. Trust me!
You can email me at the stg account or I can give you my personal gmail and we can chat, as that might be easiest. xo
Actually, I would love to commiserate on this. It seems like most people I know are either not co-sleeping or, if they are, have babies that don't wake as often.
I agree about the every 2 hour thing. If he only wakes me 4 times a night, I feel super refreshed!
Ugh I wish you could get more sleep, there is nothing worse than lack of sleep. My sister had the same issue with both of her babies and well it EVENTUALLY got better...but took a long long time.
Both of her babies were Niko's size (well her son was larger than Niko at birth-- 13 pounds LOL) and they both took a very long time to crawl. it was just too hard for them to move their chubby legs into the positions of crawling. my grandma gave my sister hell for that saying her kids were retarded (nice one, grandma!) but they eventually learned to crawl just fine...just several months after they were "supposed to".
i don't know how anyone could be a single parent it must be so hard..
oh boy. i am so sorry this is so hard right now! this too shall pass, etc, but i understand how little comfort those words have when you're in the thick of it. i am going to send sleepy thoughts to your son (and mine!) right now.
For all the missed beauty sleep, you still look amazing. Man.
I talked to my mom about your sleep stuff over Thanksgiving. She pointed out, much to Russ's amusement, that I was the worst sleeper in my early days and used to give her hell, but the switch flipped at some point and I became (and remain) the best sleeper. I hope Niko's switch goes soon too!

Lack of sleep always makes everything seem worse. I hope things even out soon.
