4 Die at Fort Worth Water Gardens

I have a crazy mixed reaction to this. I'm sad because of the loss. I can only imagine how those poor people must have felt. I know I have walked over that area before and imagined what it would be like to fall in. It is a terrifying thought and hard to believe it happened to not only one person, but four. That said, I love/have always loved the Fort Worth Water Gardens. I also always had a very healthy fear of them b/c it was very easy to fall off into the circulating water at the bottom of all those crazy steps. We used to take field trips there when I was little and nobody was ever stupid enough to try to swim at the Water Gardens. The No Swimming signs, parents, and random law enforcers usually kept this type of thing from happening...so why were these children swimming in a no swimming area? The article says that children see waterfalls and think it's time to swim. I don't know what children the person who wrote that has been around, but I think that is an unfair stereotype. I can guarantee I never wanted to swim at the Water Gardens. I'm very sad that these people died because it is definitely a tragedy and I feel very sorry for their families and friends; however, I will miss the gardens that my family and I make it a point to stop by anytime we are in Fort Worth. It's a very weird feeling to be angry at people that I don't know and feel sorry for, yet I am. It will be so lonely there now...and pointless. A waste really...of life and land.
