Influences in Sorcery 101

I have been asked numorous times by Sorcery 101 fans if I have read this or this. Pointign out similiarities in it and Sorcery 101. Sometimes, it's a comic and sometimes it's a real book. Then conversation proceeds with me saying I've either heard of it or I haven't. If I haven't heard of it I'll probably go look it up and take a glance. If I have heard of I tell them I haven't had time to look it up. Rarely though it the comic or book in question something I will sit down and read.

Why?

Because I honestly don't like reading. Well, not so much that I dislike it, just that free times comes down to 3 options: play a video game, draw, or read. Now I'm not much of a gamer so videogames usually are dismissed unless the newest Final Fantasy or Legends of Zelda has just come out. So 90% of the time it comes down to drawing or reading.

Now one would think that after drawing Sorcery 101 I'd probably be tried of drawing and want a break. Thinkign that would show you don't know me very well. I spend probably nearly every waking moment going "oh that would be an awesome way to torture Danny." My friends hear me ramble bout my newest plans for Danny and the rest of the cast for AT LEAST 3 hours a day (so they know about scenes in Sorcery 101 that it will probably take me years to finally get to and could provide anyone with ample amount of spoilers).

So to pry me ways from my beloved little world of Sorcery 101 that book better be something DAMN special. (comics I'm more inclinded to look at because they are shorter and if the writing is crap I can at least go OooooOOOOOooooo pretty) Now combin that with a rather short attention span and you could probably see why I don't read. My attention span and distaste for reading has made me even put down a few comics. A comic called The Authority response that allonf the lines of "wow, that's ....a lot of words. And they are words that aren't funny." I have had one of my friends get mad at me for not wanting to read this book series she loved (which sounded interesting but it wasn't holding down the wild creature that is my attention span.)

Sometimes, wish I read more. However, the attention span, lack of time, and also probably very high standards.
