What its all about...
Last night, I got the opportunity to visit Children's Hospital in Los Angeles and visit with some of the cancer patients. I know I'm no stranger to this world, but it was just so nice to be able to directly help some of these kids. We had truck loads of toys for them. It was great. Some of the toys had to wait to "be approved" for the kids, but we were able to give out little bean-bag like pillows to them. We even had Krispy Kreme's for the kids and the nurses. Everyone was really appreciative. I know how boring it can be sitting in bed all day, so it was great to be able to give them some sort of distraction for a little bit. We played with the kids in the playroom, and they loooved the attention. The kids are always smiling, they've got so much courage. The parents kept telling us over and over: "Team in Training is such a great program." They really appreciate what we are doing. I am so happy to be a part of it.
