so i don't know if any of you realize the connection, but the plane crash into lake michigan contained 4 university of michigan health system employees. i didn't know any of the victims personally, but one of their wives works in my department. everyone is shaken up by this. there's a big gathering for faculty and staff at the MCHC auditorium in a little while. i can't go because i am swamped.
i can't even imagine coming into work and hearing that 4 of my coworkers died because they were trying to save someone else's life. it's so sad.
