Oh my god. This is so incredible. SO incredible! I just...the more I read, the more this story just settled in my heart and made itself right at home. This is one of those story worlds that actually immerses me, and I never want to stop being there. And the way you write it, I honestly feel like I'm there with the open sky and the heat and sweat and ache of hard work.
And I am so, SO in love with the way you write Jensen and Jared in this. They're so very real, living people and not just characters. There's so many layers to them, such depth, and such growth for the both of them--and you write it so delicately and well that it truly is like they've come alive and are becoming these people at the end, finding themselves and finding their inner strength, not having someone write them doing so. If that makes sense. And I find it especially awesome how well you handled the hurts and bad things of the past--perfectly balanced at just the right level of real emotion

I felt the exact same way when I was writing it. Once I revealed Jensen's full character, I was completely in love and Jared just formed around him to be exactly what he needed. And so much was personal, from my career in drug addiction, to living in the Midwest for a while... I didn't want to expose everything from Jensen's past -- I don't think the character would have been comfortable with that, if that makes any sense, but the feelings were always there.

AHHH KELS THIS IS SO GOOOOD. I just devoured it, eyes glued to the screen, unable to look away. Jensen is damaged but so strong and Jared is crazy and amazing and they work so WELL together. I could feel the heat and the tension, it was obvious in every word, and I can't believe you wrote most of this in a NOTEBOOK BY HAND. You are crazy awesome, girl.
